Curriculum

Children 2.5-6 years old form the classroom community in our primary program. The multi-aged classroom provides a wealth of positive educational experiences for children. Children are inspired by the work of others. Very young children learn quickly by simply observing others at work. The older children become responsible role models for the younger children. The younger children instill a sense of nurturing in the older children.

Practical life exercises like sorting, pouring, or washing dishes forms the core of child’s work. We recognize this as the beginning of control and coordination of mind and body. That’s why Montessori Learning revolves around tangible, hands-on experiences.
Children use concrete materials to learn math; movable alphabet letters to explore language; and cubes, cylinders and other objects to categorize, find spatial relationships, and more. Practical learning experiences explore key subjects including:

• Language
• Mathematics
• Sensorial
• Music/Movement/Art
• Geography/Earth Science/Zoology/Botany

This is a progressive learning experience that sets the foundation for the Montessori child adaptability, problem-solving and self-motivated aptitudes.
